Mission Statement

Nu Eta is a high school Honor Society dedicated to recognizing excellence, encouraging scholarship,

and inspiring creative leadership within the community.

Requirements:

We are a chapter of Eta Sigma Alpha, the national homeschool honor society, and we follow their guidelines as to what is required to join Nu Eta.  

 

1. Completed application forms.

 

2. Evidence of a 3.5 or higher GPA, an essay of no more than 500 words written by the applicant. 

 

3. Test score on any national standardized test. 

The following is a list of examples, but is not all inclusive.

SAT – 1200

PSAT – 1200

PSAT 10 – 1170 
PSAT 8/9 for a 9th grade student – 1090

PSAT 8/9 for an 8th grade student – 1020

ACT – 26

Pre-ACT 10 – 26

 

CLT – 88 

CLT 10 –  91

 

Iowa (ITBS or ITED) – 90% composite score

Stanford – 90% on total battery

Terra Nova 2 (CAT6) 2nd Ed. - 90% total score

 

If your teen wants to apply to Nu Eta in the fall, but doesn't have a test score yet, you can find tests that will be administered in May.
